They are a husband and wife creative team. Together they are tale spinner, creative director, makeup artist, wardrobe stylist, hair stylist, photographer, digital editor, painter, and graphic artist. They like to think of themselves as artists that use a camera rather than photographers.Dale and Jen Simmons (aka BlackWatch) tell stories through their images, creating images that make you think, bring you to another time, or make you laugh.  A talented artist in California once said of their work “a superb story teller. In my opinion this is how Hitchcock would have photographed people.” Who wouldn’t love being compared to Hitchcock!
Their inspiration comes from old movies and television…pop culture…painters (especially Jack Vettriano)…a ridiculous sense of humor…and all of the little absurdities that surround us daily! A favorite quote of theirs is “If you are looking for a common theme in our work…think blatant disdain for reality!”
