Testimonials from past workshop attendees:

“I’ve been teaching lighting for ages, but when I watch Dale Simmons work I always learn something new, both in lighting, posing, and shooting techniques and in seamless ways to make the most complex topics easy to understand. His classes are a Master course in how to make your creative vision come alive.”

– David D. Busch, best-selling author of “David Busch’s Quick Snap Guide to Lighting” and more than 150 other books.

I was just reviewing my notes and your slides from today's workshop which has been the best I've ever attended. After looking at some of the photos I've taken with my novice skill set you've both really motivated me to up my game. I look forward to working with you soon. Thanks again for your time and effort you put into the workshop. You both make an excellent team.

This workshop exceeded my expectations!    The models and presenters were all very professional, friendly, helpful, experienced and more than willing to teach and share their knowledge and techniques.   The studio is a wonderful space to take this class, comfortable and well designed.  There were many set ups and opportunities to practice shooting and to learn about and record in our handouts the lighting that was used.    The limited class size made for a nice size group.    I would highly recommend this class to both newcomers and seasoned photographers!   Thank you Dale.

I want to thank you for putting on this workshop, I was very impressed with the level of teaching but how relaxed the workshop was,no egos, no talking down to the class. I drove over two hour to attend, spent money I didn't have, but I left in the evening with far more confidence and I am so glad I attended. I thank you, your wife and staff for putting on a great workshop.

Thanks,

Glenn Frye

This workshop truly filled my expections. The hands on and informal approach and a small group format gave the attendees a great opportunity to learn studio photography. The instructors have excellent work, technical knowledge and creativity which they passed on to students. The lighting theory surprised me as an important tool and made this workshop distinctive from others. I definitely would recommend to any photographer interested in studio portraiture. Thanks to all instructors for the enjoyable day and learning experience.

Thank you.

Greetings!

Really enjoyed the seminars and time spent shooting with you at your studio. I feel it was time and $ well spent. I see a big difference in the photos I took in December and the recent seminar.

I must admit, I wasn't going to attend the seminar because of the nude portraits - just wasn't interested. But I am glad that I did. Thank you for the opportunity! I was amazed at how professional everything was handled and Tina's relaxed energy is the main source. I felt very at ease.

Thanks again for the opportunity. Let me know if I can assist with you and your studio.

There is nothing more important to photography than lighting. What I learned in Dale and Jen's Studio Lighting 101 course has helped me with my photography work both indoors and outdoors. I will definitely sign-up for Black Watch's advanced lighting course.

I took their Photoshop course as well as attended the Lighting 101 workshop.  Wow, these courses were great.  Dale and Jen have a great way of giving you the information you need and not filling your head with a bunch of stuff you may or may not use.  You will use the tools and tricks they teach.  The other great aspect of their courses is they gear the courses and workshops towards any level of photographer.  The classes had beginning amateurs as well as more seasoned photographers.  I highly recommend anyone interested in photography to take one of their classes or attend a workshop.  You won’t regret it.  I know I didn’t.
